After finishing his masters in Ophthalmology, he was
awarded Rtn Dr. P.N.Srinivasa Rao award for Best Out Going student. He joined as
a Lecturer in Ophthalmology in Kasthuriba Medical College and Assistant Surgeon
in OEU Institute of Ophthalmology for one year in Manipal.
He then came back to his native place and joined the Neyyoor C.S.I. Mission
Hospital in the year 1983 and worked there till he took over as Project Director
and Chief Ophthalmologist of Neyyoor Eye Services in 1985. This is a
comprehensive Eye Care System of KanyaKumari Medical Mission in partnership with
Christofel Blinden Mission, West Germany. During this period he extended eye
care system to the mission hospitals at Kulasekharam, Marthandam and Karakkonam.
In the year 1987 he visited Upson Eye Clinic, USA for his Super Specialization
in Cataract with Lens Implant Surgery . |
In the year 1992 he started his own private practice in their Ancestral house in
Nagercoil with 5 Staff and 8 beds.
Dr. Bejan Singh by his hard work and dedication for the past 20 years has built
up Bejan Singh Eye Hospital to its present status - 110 beds.
He is a God fearing man. He propelled by the Mission for Vision in his native
place, has now spread Eye Care delivery to the neighboring districts of Tamil
Nadu and Southern Kerala. |

Dr. Rooshitha B.Singh wife of Dr. Bejan Singh was born in 1961 in Nagercoil . It
is in her grand fathers house we started our hospital in 1992. She got her
medical degree from Stanley Medical college Chennai and D.O from Madurai Medical
College. She got degree in hospital Hospital Management from Manonamoniam
Sundaranar University.
After completing her post graduate degree in Ophthalmology from Madurai Medical
College. She joined her husband at Neyyoor in Kanyakumari medical Mission as
Junior Ophthalmologist. Since then she has been working under him and acts as
major force in motivating him. She has completed short-term fellowship in the
following discipline. |
